Psalm 121 – Let us personalize it by changing the use of the word you and substitute “me.”
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your (MY) foot to slip;
He who keeps you (ME) will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your (MY) keeper;
The Lord is your (MY) shade on your (MY) right hand.
The sun will not smite you (ME) by day, nor the moon by night.
he Lord will [a]protect you (ME) from all evil; He will keep your (MY) soul. The Lord will guard your (MY) going out and your (MY) coming in from this time forth and forever.
This is my prayer and praise tonight following a stressed day.
When the world falls apart all around you, keep a strong heart of faith and rejoice because God is going to give you a clear word for a very needy situation in some one’s life. Pray for peace in the storm and pray someone will find themselves in the storm who need help. We have the words of life – speak them in faith!
