“CONVERGENCE,” BY Dr. Paul C. Collins, Th.D.

(The dictionary has several definitions applicable to the word “convergence.” For my purposes in this essay, it simply means the joining together of factors on reaching a point of view.)      I am very interested in Bible teachings. My interest is very intense. As elusive as truth can be when watching television news, pondering points of view on the Internet, or listening to an opinion expressed by a preacher, delving into the Bible can be even more challenging.      To be fair, I acknowledge that most of the people seem to be satisfied in simply quoting a few verses of scripture found in their favorite version or translation. This is better than never quoting scripture. However, many times these same verses are taken totally out of context. When that is the case, their truth is lost to the person doing the quoting and lost to the recipient of the quote.      What does this have to do with “convergence”? If you have something not true joining with something that is true, you render it of none effect. That is, nothing…

“THE CHURCH UNIVERSAL,” by Dr. Paul C. Collins

A MESSAGE FROM FIRST ACTS CHURCH The days ahead will show the true church to be the real body of Christ. When Jesus spoke about building his church, he in no way indicated that it could ever or would ever be destroyed. I have confidence in his words and his works. I few years ago, I told several people that the day would come when “church by appointment or reservation” would happen in the United States of America. I do not claim to be a prophet, but that statement proved to be prophetic. What do I anticipate will be happening in the future? I expect that those with a message contrary to popular culture, the “Woke” movement, and the “Cancel Culture” crowd will find themselves as targets of those who want to shut-up and shutdown the real church. What will happen to the real church? I believe it will gather in homes until complaints are made (by unknown parties) to a new brand of local leaders who favor secularism over faith. They will claim there are too many…

“Spiritually Empowered & Intellectually Armed,” by Dr. James R. Wining

We are way past the time when preaching and teaching are principal tools of conversion. Furthermore, specific documents and procedures such as the Gospel or the Roman’s Walk are rejected without some type of cross collateralization. The demand  today is for more and more evidence. Such evidence requires research and investigation into Christian and non-Christian sources. An educational presentation of Christian facts and history is crucial in presenting a basis for Christian conversion. In fact, it has become increasingly evident that education may now be the first tool in conversion of the 65% of the USA populace defined as non-practicing Christians or non-Christians.  Acts Ministry is “The Unity in Christ, through The Holy Spirit,” vision received by its Founder Dr. Paul C. Collins. Its mission is “To Do the Right Thing,” on a where needed basis.  Acts Ministry has helped with autism awareness, veterans issues, elderly challenges, organ transplants, chemical dependence, homelessness and other human wants, needs and concerns. It’s now time for those committed to the vision and mission of Acts Ministry to take up the challenge…

“The Bible back in Schools, Results,” by Dr. James R. Wining

These are the results from the post done by Acts Media Group August 16-26, 2019 on Facebook. 3500 people were reached 660   people were engaged 509   positive responses 55    love responses 2    negative responses 75%   of the respondents were female 25%   of the respondents were male 35%   women over 65 were largest group of respondents 0   families signed up to send their children to school with a Bible & reading assignment If we ignore those respondents that did not click to the page of explanation, we are still left with positive respondents and/or engaged respondents  which did not apparently follow through with action. I realize 35% of the respondents were over 65 and likely beyond “child raising years,” but is there any generational input? Moreover, remember our results are predicated on an email response to sign up and commit. If we are to bring back the morals and values cherished by Our Founding Fathers, we must put forth real and meaningful effort. Sending a child to school today is significantly different than in the 1950’s or…
