A blink of an eye and time goes by
It seems but a blink of an eye, and I watch my life go by.
Was it yesterday I realized I was alive? Where does the time go?
It seems I should surely know, was it yesterday I was a child?
I must’ve slept a while, now that I am an adult, I have no doubt.
It was yesterday that I was a child!
